My personal highlights were Martin Parr and Gerry Badger discussing what didn't go in to Vol. 3 of the Photobook - as illuminating as what did go in; Bruno Ceschel from Self Publish Be Happy emphasising the democratisation of the the photobook with self publishing; Anouk Kruithof stretching the boundaries of what the photobook can be (and abandoning staples!); Joachim Schmid with a very witty exposition of his 'found photography' practice; and a career tour by the ever fascinating Stephen Gill, looking at the shifting relationship between his photography and the photobook.
Personally I was very sad to have to miss Paul Seawright and Donovan Wylie in conversation.
All absolutely fascinating stuff. Much food for thought and we're (Gina, Becky and I all attended) sure there will be lots of very positive input into the course from this event.
I'm trying to find out if PB Labs videoed the talks - I'll post links if I get them.
