Course Lead, Lecturer and Tutor
Emilie is an established, professional portrait photographer working across various fields including music, publishing, TV production, advertising and fashion.
Graduating from Central St Martin’s University of the Arts in 2003, and recently completing an MA in Photography at the London College of Communication, Emilie has developed a hunger for conceptual photography – combining her expertise in location photography and lighting with the evolution of abstract thought processes – to enhance her overall understanding of modern day photography.
Lecturer and Tutor
Graduated from Bristol Polytechnic (now UWE) with BA Hons (2:1) Humanities in 1985.
1987 began trading as a self employed freelance photographer specialising in editorial portraiture.
Worked as freelance professional photographer based in Bristol for 20 years, including running a city centre studio for 6 years, until 2005.
Taught a variety of photography courses at a broad range of levels (part time, in a various regional colleges) since 1990.
Taught on Foundation Degree in Professional Photography (FdA) at City of Bristol College since Sept 2006.
Course Leader of FdA above from Sept 2010 to July 2016.
